Joyce O’Leary MCIPP, MIAB – Director

Hi I am Joyce,

 In 2002 the accountancy firm I was employed by made some changes which resulted in me working for them on a part time self-employed basis, this enabled me to spend more time with my family.

I established River Bookkeeping & Payroll Ltd and took on some more clients and stayed with the accountancy practice for over 15 years. Towards the end of that time they merged with a larger firm of accountants who employed me as their payroll manager, after 3 years I took the leap to work full time with River Bookkeeping & Payroll Ltd rebranding as The Payroll Lady Ltd in 2024.

 In May 2020 Nicky Blay joined me as an employee.

 I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and The Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers.

 In February 2021 I joined the IAB as an Ambassador and in July 2023 I joined Bookkeepers Detox Ltd as a team leader. Both roles enable me to help and support other bookkeepers facing the challenges of running a bookkeeping business and keeping up to date with the legislative challenges.
